In Investigators 2 we always start our day by getting ready to learn, we either take part in physical movement such as walks around our outdoor environment or individual sensory regulation strategies as planned by our occupational therapist. Once everyone is relaxed and settled, we work on our communication targets during breakfast club and complete our morning registration.
Our playtime is at 10.15am and some learners like to go and explore outside, while others prefer to relax and choose in their safe spaces, but we make sure everyone has time outdoors over lunch.
We have one lesson in the morning and one in the afternoon, but we are always busy working on our PSED and individual targets throughout all of our daily routines. We have mini maths and sensory sound sessions three times a week and PE in the hall every Wednesday.
Learners also access our facilitates around the school site each term including soft play, sensory rooms and the hydrotherapy pool.
