The Investigators department consists of 4 mixed age classes ranging from year 6 to year 9. The classes are grouped by need, ability and peers and has an average of eight learners in each class. The learners have a range of needs including ASD and complex learning or sensory needs. Within each class there is a teacher and two or three support staff, dependent on need.

In the Investigators department, our main aim is to inspire and enable all of our learners to learn to their individual potentials through fun, engaging learning experiences and investigations both in school and out in the local community. We ensure all our learners are emotionally regulated with all their needs met so they are truly ready to learn.
Our classroom environments are carefully structured to create a calming, predictable learning space that fosters independence, emotional regulation and a nurturing approach to learning. A major focus of our learning is to enable our learners to have the knowledge and skills to grown up to be the best version of themselves as they move through school and into adulthood.
