Explorers 3 is a class of learners working within key stages 3 and 4 who have profound and multiple learning difficulties.
Our days are busy, purposeful, and carefully structured to meet individual needs. Learners experience regular changes of position alongside opportunities to explore, engage, and learn in a meaningful way.
We follow a broad and balanced curriculum covering all areas of learning, including My Communication, My Thinking and Problem Solving, My Personal, Social and Emotional Development, My Creativity, and The World About Me. You can find out more about this on our curriculum pages.
Learners also have access to the hydrotherapy pool, where they can work on their personalised physiotherapy programmes in a supportive and therapeutic environment.
Within the class, learners are supported to work towards AQA Awards and AIM Awards, celebrating progress and achievements at an appropriate and personalised level.
