Yeoman Park Academy is a specialist academy for children with severe, complex, profound and multiple learning difficulties. The age range of pupils/students is from 3 -19 years of age and we currently have over 80 children and young adults attending the academy.
The pupils/students can be defined by three broad SEN groupings:
- Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
- Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
- Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC).
There are three classes within our Primary Team (pupils aged 3-11), four in the Middle Team (pupils aged 11-14) and four classes in the Upper Team (pupils aged 14-19).
The Upper Team has an additional ‘Pathfinder’ group of students who access a curriculum predominantly off-site in preparation for leaving the academy at the end of their time at Yeoman Park. Three of the upper team classes are based on the site of the neighbouring comprehensive, The Manor Academy, in a purpose built sixth form centre.
