On Sunday 23 April our very own Mrs Hayes ran the London Marathon, completing this incredible feat in 5 hours and 52 minutes.

Only about 0.2% of the UK population has ever run a marathon, and Mrs Hayes has not only done this 9 months after giving birth to her daughter, Myla, but she has also raised (to date) £1,391 for her chosen charity: The Emily Harris Foundation.

The Emily Harris Foundation supports the families and staff on the neonatal unit at King’s Mill Hospital, where Myla spent the first 24 hours of her life.

Myla was born at 37 weeks, but had premature lungs and she went into the neonatal unit where she received exceptional care.

Now Myla is a healthy, happy 9 month old and Mrs Hayes has shown her appreciation for this wonderful charity in a remarkable way, after the marathon Mrs Hayes said: “I’m so proud and pleased, plus I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, it was amazing!”

Well done Mrs Hayes, we are all so proud of everything you have accomplished.
