On Friday 7 February 2025, Yeoman Park Academy was a hive of activity and excitement as we took part in NSPCC Number Day, raising money for a fantastic cause.
With a focus on maths, specifically numbers, we all Dressed Up For Digits, encouraging pupils and staff to wear number-related outfits. From sports shirts and playing cards to human calculators, number blocks, and even dartboards, creativity was at an all-time high.
Throughout the day, learners enjoyed a variety of fun and educational activities. Everyone had a chance to take part in a sponsored dance, moving to number-themed songs in the school hall to raise even more funds. Some students played bingo and went on an exciting number hunt finding and investigating different digits along the way. We also engaged in a sensory story full of laughter, numbers, and animals. In our Sensit room, learners explored numbers through sensory play, enjoying rhymes and messy play experiences.
We are thrilled to announce that Yeoman Park Academy raised an incredible £2,159.15 through dance sponsorships and ‘Dressing Up for Digits’ donations.
A huge thank you to all the children, their families, and the local community for their generosity and support. Your contributions will help the NSPCC continue its vital work, supporting services like Speak Out Stay Safe, which educates children across the UK about recognising and reporting abuse.
