At Yeoman Park Academy, our recent life skills and careers theme day was a hit with an exciting enterprise twist. Each class received £10 to invest in creating and selling a range of fantastic items. The goal was to make enough profit to cover their initial £10 investment and then use the extra funds for an activity of their choosing.

Our learners got their creative juices flowing, and the results have been truly impressive. Here’s a look at what each class produced:

Class 1 crafted beautiful bookmarks and fridge magnets.
Class 4 enjoyed designing and building charming bird feeders.
Class 5 whipped up tasty treats, selling popcorn and skittle cones.
Class 6 created fun and squishy sensory balls.
Class 7 put together Euro 24 football-themed treat bags.
Class 8 offered a delightful pick-and-mix selection.
Class 11 got artistic with decorated canvases and coasters.
Class 14 designed heartfelt Father’s Day cards.

Every item was handmade by our enthusiastic learners, and all of the money raised goes straight back to support them. The profits from these sales helped fund their much-deserved end-of-year celebrations.

A big thank you to everyone who supported this event by buying items or contributing funds. Your support is invaluable and helps make these children’s end-of-year celebrations and educational journey’s truly special.
