On Thursday last week (27 February 2020) our team from The Base attended the Autism Professionals Awards 2020 at Birmingham Town Hall, following the first day of the National Autistic Society’s Professional Conference.

The team had been shortlisted for two awards at the awards; a superb and well-deserved achievement. Sharon Savage was up for an individual award in the ‘Achievement an Individual Education Professional’ category with The Base team in the running for the ‘Inspirational Education Provision – secondary and further’ award.

In both categories, our staff didn’t win the award but were placed in the top three, which is a magnificent achievement and emphasises the brilliant work they do for our students.

Sharon says: ‘It was lovely to be recognised for the work we do. The evening was enjoyable and showcased the great work being done to support autistic learners throughout the country.’

From all at Yeoman Park Academy, we are extremely proud to have such amazing staff working for us, and this recognition is truly well deserved – well done!
