Our topic this term has been South America and Carnivals. All of our classes have got involved with creating one of the animals from the four layers of the rainforest for our wonderful display.

The work was done with group participation and students worked on improving their fine motor skills, hand/eye co-ordination and learned new creative techniques. Much of the final work has a sensory perspective, so we have been encouraging student to have a feel and touch the artwork, posing the question about whether the animals feel like that in real life!

The topic developed a deeper understanding of the rainforest and the group work allowed the students to socialise with their friends and peers.

Well done to our students for producing some fabulous work, and to our staff for their support.
